Chandler enjoyed playing on a basketball team this winter - getting more experience with the game he loves. His team attended tournaments in nearby towns on the weekends.
Caleb lost both front teeth in March and looked super cute for awhile. Our attempts at photographing it weren't nearly as cute as the real thing.

Rachel just being cute as always.

Kierstyn's new-found walking skills perfectly allow her to carry a "purse" (or doggie case).

In 5th grade band, Chandler graduated from the clarinet to the alto saxophone (hooray!). He sufficiently proved to his teachers that he had the clarinet skill and
embouchure necessary to move on to the saxophone in late March.

In mid-April, we saw the beginnings of spring weather (but no actual leaves/flowers grow till the first of May), and we celebrated at our local park. Rachel had a blast. Kierstyn loved being outdoors, but decided she's not a big fan of swings. Luckily, these pictures were snapped prior to her conclusion that swings are undesirable and scary.

Lovin' the sunshine!

April brought Marc a new calling at church: Young Men's President. He was immediately informed that he was in charge of a youth-night activity for all young men and young women to be held within a week or so. The theme previously chosen: Survivor. Ideas/outline given to him: none. But true to my brilliant-husband's style, he created an awesome night for these teens, complete with a fear-factor-style eating challenge (that I had the privilege of creating). Disgusting foods suspended in jell-o, such as peas, mustard with prunes, salt, chef-boyardee, wheat kernels, refried beans with tabasco sauce, etc. Here's a half-way-made picture. I attempted to cover each one with more jell-o before finishing. FYI, salt makes jell-o stay liquidy.

We were privileged and blessed to have a older-couple serve a full-time mission for a year in our ward. They were the Messicks from Provo, Utah. We grew very fond of each other, and we were all very sad to say goodbye at the end of April. What great people with such hearts full of love and service. We will miss them and all the good they did for the people in Green Bay. (and my children will miss Sister Messick's Jell-O Cakes she brought numerous times for dessert to our home.)
