Carlie's 10th Birthday and Party

The year is 1904. American Girl, Samantha, is in her home with her good friends plus a new friend she just met: a 10 year old orphan that works as a servant next door. But Samantha and her friends soon discover something mysterious - and work to piece the clues together!

Carlie's 10th birthday party was all American Girl doll style! After a quick game of hide-and-seek, the girls watched the Samantha American Girl movie, and ate a fancy dinner alone in the basement of chicken, mashed potatoes, fruit, vegetables, and rolls. Then they frosted their own mini-birthday-cakes, tasted them, and put on their best character voices and acted out the above described mystery. A fun-filled evening concluded with birthday presents.
Dressed in their 1904 styles: (L to R)
Helen, Nicole, Madison, Abby, Lauren, Olivia, Alison, and Carlie (& Charly not pictured).
Some of the dolls came to the party for the fun.

Reading their mystery scripts

On her actual birthday - presents from family and grandparents.
(including flowers delivered from G. & G. Rogers)

Mommy gave her what every girl needs:
a full-length mirror!

Carlie requested a homemade carrot cake
with "green-apple-colored" cream cheese frosting
in a square shape!
Happy Birthday, my big girl!

What an adorable party Allyson! I bet this was a big hit with all of the girls. I'm hoping Madison will be up for something like this next year. It was fun reading all of your posts....maybe I will start my own blog one of these years!
