Rachel is just beginning to say a few things ... at 9 months old she waved her hand and occasionally tried to say "hi", at 9 1/2 months she calls Daddy "Da da", and at 9 3/4 months (early June) she began to do the sign language for "more". The picture below sort of captures the more sign (it's supposed to have all the fingers grouped and touching). It's just so fun to see her grow and begin to communicate with us!
The next couple pictures are from the end of May (9 1/2 months old) just kicking back and being cute. The fingers in the mouth are due to the top front teeth just under the surface at the time (one cut through finally a few days ago).
The last picture was taken in May (9 months) when Rachel had peacefully fallen asleep alone (indeed an accomplishment, as she mostly prefers to fall asleep in Mommy's arms!) with her arm and face under the bumper pad.
