BIG News!

The Rogers family would like to announce some big news ... Marc has accepted a Vice President position with Schneider National (nearly the largest trucking company in the USA - big orange trucks). At the end of September, we will be moving to Green Bay, Wisconsin. Yes, it's the land of the NFL Packers, cheese, and cold winters!! We are excited, nervous, scared, happy, a bit sad, and looking forward to a new adventure as a family.

How did this happen, you say? Well, it's been a whirlwind. Marc was doing very well in his job as Division Manager in Tulare, CA, for Knight Transportation. He was ready for a change - something new to challenge him. We anticipated that something would come along through Knight, but before that happened, Marc was contacted by an executive headhunter. He was trying to find just the right person for Schneider. Although we weren't out looking, we felt the timing was right to pursue this and get more information.

Events quickly fell into place with a phone interview with the President of Schneider Truckload, and then a plane trip to Green Bay to interview all day long with multiple executives. Things went well, and they presented an offer to him there in Green Bay. Marc and I have thought long and hard, prayed long and hard, and done a lot of research. Although a bit scary to jump into this new adventure, we feel it is right for us. Marc will have a great challenge at work in which he will get to fully utilize his talent and experience, the children will get to build snowmen in a few months and attend an excellent school, and we will all get to truly experience four distinct seasons. In addition, we look forward to meeting new friends and finding new opportunities to serve at church and in our community.

Just before our 11th Anniversary, Marc, Allyson, and Rachel took a trip to Green Bay in August to find a house. Despite the lengthy plane rides and layovers, it was fun to see our new town together and find a great house. We are very blessed to be able to move out of our current house in Visalia the end of September and move into our new house the first week of October. We are thankful things are moving quickly, as Marc will be apart from our family a good amount until then (he has already begun working in Green Bay).
