Another year begins again, and we all cheer "hooray"! Chandler gets the excitement of moving on to a new school this year - Foxview Intermediate School - as he begins 5th grade with Mrs. Lee. He's excited to start Band - first learning the basics of the clarinet, and ultimately the alto saxophone. He will continue taking piano lessons (not always to his agreement, but parents sometimes know best!). He will be joining cross country running, and he hopes to get on a basketball team, too. Busy, busy!
Carlie and Caleb are still at Heritage Elementary School. Carlie begins 3rd grade with Mr. Herlache. It's her first time with a male teacher, and she is thrilled!! She is also going to begin lessons at a dance studio, which she is very excited about. Caleb begins 1st grade with Mrs. Blum, and he's very ready! His reading skills soared over the summer, and I'm convinced that family scripture reading each night had a big hand in that! I'm amazed at some of the scripture terminology he can sound out quickly. He's also hoping that math will get harder this year, since it was "too easy in kindergarten". Silly boy.
I'm a slacker-mom this year and didn't manage to take a picture. With the two little girls added into the chaos of the morning, it was craziness ... and just didn't happen. Oops. Oh well.
