Hanging Out in Phoenix

After the funeral events were over, we had some time to spare in Phoenix (why drive all the way from California just to drive right back?!). Marc spent Friday working in the Phoenix office, Carlie and Caleb spent a couple days at Grandma and Grandpa Rogers' house, and Chandler, Rachel and I hung out at Mom and Don's house. Luckily, cousin Holly came over for a great visit. Unfortunately, my mom was out of town on a cruise the whole time, so we missed having her smiles and energy ... the house was way too quiet without her!

Lesson to learn: don't let big brother be in charge of entertaining the baby while Mommy is deep in conversation with her cousin and siblings (even if you're in the same room). A baggie full of rice-puffs were suddenly EVERYWHERE ... and Rachel was in heaven. Sorry, Mom, I promise I vacuumed your floor.

It was really cute watching Uncle Jonathan (my brother) taking a self-portrait with his youngest niece ... although Rachel wasn't too sure about the experience!

On Saturday, we met Marc's parents at Macayo's Mexican Restaurant for lunch .... Mmm ... you just CAN'T visit Arizona without enjoying the mexican food!! It was so fun to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Rogers (so glad they attended the funeral, too, and helped us so much with the children!).
