Strawberry season!

Mmmm.... the smell of fresh strawberries is heavenly! I associate Easter season with strawberry season! When I was young, I considered strawberries to be my favorite food. Luckily, my children love them too! We love living here in central California where much of our country's fresh produce is grown. Many street corners have strawberry patches and stands like the one you see below. This one is really close to the kids' school ... and today we bought a box of berries that are sweeter and jucier than any you'll find in a grocery store! (they kind of "melt" in your mouth!)
