Meet the Rogers

We decided to join the blogging craze (even though I think the word "blog" is really lame!). With a housefull of action, chaos, giggles, and screams, hopefully we can occasionally come up with entertaining things to write!

Here's an intro to our family:
Rachel is 8 months old and is the sunshine of our family. She is (mostly) patient and happy, and we're all excited that she finally learned to sit up a couple weeks ago. She rolls very quickly to travel and she's trying her best to figure out another way to move (being a dolphin/airplane on her tummy with her head up, arms back, and her legs vigorously kicking just doesn't quite do the trick). Her new-found babbling this past week includes bah, bah, ma, ma, and an occasional "da".

Caleb is 5 years old and in preschool. His passion lately is his Playstation game: Lego Star Wars ... and this entices him to play Legos and Star Wars with his toys (often building spaceships out of Legos and flying them through the house with accompanying sound effects). His teachers at school are amazed at how well he colors (another favorite of his) and how sweet and loveable he his. He loves to make Rachel laugh and hold doors open for Mommy. He is doing indoor soccer for the first time right now.

Carlie is 7 years old and in 1st grade. She is out-going and social, and she's ALL girl. Evaluating her hair and outfit are a must several times a day, but that doesn't stop her from playing outside, jumping on the trampoline, and doing other active things! She is a member of "Kids Edition", her dance group (they sing a little too) that performs in the community. This spring she is trying indoor soccer for the first time. Carlie adores her baby sister and is a great help for Mom ... entertaining her, spoon-feeding her, and toting her around.

Chandler is 9 years old and in 3rd grade. His passion is sports, sports, and more sports! This includes sports on the playground at school, in the backyard with a friend or Dad, or on the Playstation. He especially likes basketball (Daddy is so proud), soccer, and baseball (he's currently on a little league team). He excells in his schoolwork, and he is a fabulous pianist. He hopes to be an NBA star someday and an author.

When Allyson and Marc aren't busy being parents (and for Marc, an employee and an employer of Knight Transportation) they dream of traveling the world, retiring at age 35 or so (ha!), and being perfectly organized every moment of the day.
