Thanksgiving Snow!

It's been getting a bit colder and colder during November in Green Bay. The kids ask me frequently when the snow will come ... and since I misplaced my crystal ball, they walk away frustrated. However, we woke up on Thanksgiving morning with something unique to be thankful for ... our first snowfall!!! It was just a light dusting (1/2 inch or less), but it was enough to thrill the kids and keep them entertained much of the day! They donned warm clothes and then got to put on snow boots and bibs for the first time. I, personally, think the timing couldn't have been better! Not only did it make Thanksgiving more memorable, but it was nice the kids didn't have school on their first snowfall.

Here's our house on Thanksgiving morning.

Caleb, Chandler, Rachel (still in p.j.'s), and Carlie on the front porch.

Our next door neighbors have twin 4 year olds ... and a small grassy hill between their yard and ours. They were out early that morning, too, equipped with a sled! Standing up: Emma, Caleb, Chandler, John. On the sled: Rachel and Carlie.

Later that afternoon we enjoyed our Thanksgiving feast with a young married couple from church (actually they are California natives - Sacramento area). Although we would've loved to be with family on Thanksgiving, we had a good time with Sam and Michelle Rockwood. Sorry, no pictures from the feast!
