First "real" fire & Puppet show

Our past houses have had gas fireplaces (or no fireplace), but we ended up with a real wood-burning one in our home here in Wisconsin. Although there are moments when it's chilly and it'd be nice to just "flip the switch" to turn on the fire, there's something a little magical about a real fire! On November 3rd, Marc graced us with our first one. We even have a handy built-in fan that circulates the warmth farther into the house. The not-so-pleasant aspect of the hot fire is trying to keep a busy almost-15-month old away from touching the hot glass. Ever since we moved in, the fireplace hearth has been her "stage" that she frequently stands on.


On November 4th, Carlie and Chandler spent a great deal of time creating a puppet show together. It's so great to enjoy those moments of peaceful togetherness!
