Ashley's Visit - Baseball and Zoo

Aunt Ashley got to see all three big kids play their spring ballgames while she was here, but unfortunately, she didn't get pictures of Carlie playing softball or Chandler playing soccer.

Our outing to the N.E.W. Zoo (no, it's not "new", it's northeast Wisconsin!)

The day before Ashley and Calvin left, we enjoyed a morning at the zoo in Green Bay. It was my first time there (but not for my kids). It's a pretty good zoo - a good mix of animals that are easy to see, pretty landscaping, and not too big or small (and fairly low-cost, too). Chandler didn't come, as he was at a basketball camp (good thing - otherwise we wouldn't have all fit in my car!). And Rachel and Calvin were so cute sharing the double stroller that Ashley brought.

Above: On a balcony overlooking the moose (see below). As I leaned over to take the picture, the clip-on sunglasses for my prescription glasses fell right into the moose's home! I was afraid he would charge or eat them or something ... but he stayed looking lazy and sluggish and never seemed to care. Amazingly, I was finally able to retrieve them from zoo personnel about a month later!

Carlie is always so darling with little kids - she definitely has a talent for that.
