Crawling!

At 9 months old, Rachel learned to crawl today! I wasn't quite ready for this to happen, but at least she didn't figure it out earlier (she's our latest crawler ... we've had one at 8 1/2 months and two at 6 1/2 months). She's been interested in moving for a long time, but just couldn't figure it out. Five days ago, she learned to get herself from her tummy to her hands and knees, and then to her bottom in a sitting position. That was a thrilling skill, she decided. She practiced over and over and rather quickly decided that those moves had more potential. Now that she's crawling, she's not wasting any time exploring all the no-no's, too. Help! By the way, at 9 months she's 16 lbs 12 oz (20th percentile) and 28 1/4 inches (90th percentile).
