Airventure Museum

I'm blogging... Watch out. Although I'd prefer to blogg about politics, sports or other opinions that race through my mind I'll start out with what I love most and that's the family. This is Marc by the way, and my brother Lance and his best friend Dace came to visit us in Wisconsin and were the first to try out our newly finished basement guest room, bathroom and family room. Part of their adventure here in Wisconsin was to drive down to OshKosh about an hour from our home to spend a few hours at the Airventure Museum.
Caleb enjoyed the museum and a number of hands on activities. Here he is posing with Spaceship one, which is the winner for the contest to be the first non-government spacecraft to launch into space. The contest was used to promote research and development to eventually lead to space tourism. Caleb wants to try and use his Toys'R Us gift cards to take that first trip.

Dace and the rest of us enjoyed the flight simulator. We could fly different types of aircraft. We all agreed not to fly anywhere with Dace, at least not let him land the plane. (Notice the picture is the plane sinking into the river)
Chandler was an expert at the hang gliding exhibit. Luckily it didn't simulate his landing as that would have hurt!
The hang gliding was too slow. Chandler jumped on board this sleek fighter jet to really make his mom proud. Allyson loves fighter jets and still is head of the Topgun fan club.(not really but she probably would if she could)
Caleb was not to be outdone by his older brother so he took on the fighter jet cockpit as well of a littler older and slower model until he gets a full pilots license.

Overall we had a great time looking at all sorts of aircraft and exhibits.

Glad uncle Lance and Dace could come visit so we could enjoy the museum. We also took the tour of Lambeau field (home of the Packers), enjoyed a minor league hockey game, and broke in the finished basement. Hopefully we'll have more visitors in the future to share Wisconsin and more fun events.

Go Mitt Romney, how about them Cougars, Go Pack Go, and college football rankings are you kidding me! Talk about bias polls and media, ACC overrated 2-6 in bowl games yet we have to listen to how good they are and Big Ten way to beat the system too bad you always get beat anyways in the bowl games! Finally basketball season is here so all is well...
