As the Packers came closer and closer to a possible trip to the superbowl, the Packer fever increased. The final game to win before heading to the superbowl was on January 20th. That week we found some fun things to take pictures of right in our own neighborhood - well actually, right in the neighborhood of the kids' school. Unfortunately, the Packers lost that championship game and didn't make it to the superbowl (poor guys had to play in some horrible conditions ... a blast of arctic air moved in that weekend, and the high that day was 3 degrees without windchill. WITH the windchill, I believe it was 20 to 30 degrees below zero that evening during the game). The city was pretty depressed the following week!

Chandler, Carlie, and Caleb dressed for school on the Friday before the game (their teachers highly encourage them to wear a shirt that supports their favorite team). Rachel noticed the kids posing and had to jump in the picture at the last second!

Just remember, "The Packers win by the collective will of their fans!" That was my husband's mantra when I was forced to watch Packer's games for years (one year they actually made it to and won the Superbowl). It is a crazy "fever" that sweeps the state--not just Green Bay-- the whole state is like a college town when it comes to the Pack. I even purchased one share of stock in the Packers for my husband when they sold it one year. And remember, it's Green & Gold.
