Spelling Bee

Chandler volunteered to try-out for the 4th grade spelling bee at school, and then he was one of the top 15 finalists after the written test. The 15 kids were in the oral spelling bee on January 23. Marc and I (and Rachel) were able to watch. He did great during the first few rounds. Then with only approximately 7 or 8 kids left in the next round, he was stumped by the word "bungalow" (since he's totally unfamiliar with that word!). Very quickly, nearly everyone else missed words too, until only the final 3 kids were left. The top winner was a girl in Chandler's class, and one of the other finalists was Quinn, a boy in Chandler's class and Webelos cubscout group. Here are the 3 of them. Good job, Chandler!
